An accidental mash-up from the turn of the 20th Century. This is a small section of the frontispiece of a 1911 children's book, which has been embossed by a New York Public Library stamp to claim ownership. I liked the juxtaposition of these two unrelated things, and how the cat looks as though they are examining the stamp that has just so rudely impressed itself upon the page.
This small piece of accidental artwork has been carefully restored and enlarged for display by House of Printed Matter.

_______
This is a museum-quality giclée art print produced on heavyweight textured Fine Art paper. This process enhances colour depth and detail, giving the artwork a rich, gallery-worthy finish. Printed with premium archival inks, the result offers fade resistance of up to 100 years in albums and several decades on display, so your print can be enjoyed for many years to come.
Each print is individually produced with care, making it ideal for your home, studio, or as a unique gift.
Many of our prints include a very thin white border as a presentation choice. This helps preserve as much of the original image as possible and ensures easy framing — most frames will cover the border entirely. Non-standard image sizes will have larger borders, clearly visible in each product image.
