Mona Lisa Variations is an ongoing project by artist Lewis Christopher Young, transforming Leonardo da Vinci’s Mona Lisa in unexpected ways. Some transformations are simple, some are experimental, and some are inspired by others, like John Baldessari. The project continues a long tradition of artists manipulating or appropriating the Mona Lisa, such as Andy Warhol and Marcel Duchamp.
Repetition plays a key role in these transformations, exploring the idea of reworking the same image over and over again, and testing the breaking point between recognition and abstraction.

_______
This is a museum-quality giclée art print produced on heavyweight textured Fine Art paper. This process enhances colour depth and detail, giving the artwork a rich, gallery-worthy finish. Printed with premium archival inks, the result offers fade resistance of up to 100 years in albums and several decades on display, so your print can be enjoyed for many years to come.
Each print is individually produced with care, making it ideal for your home, studio, or as a unique gift.
Many of our prints include a very thin white border as a presentation choice. This helps preserve as much of the original image as possible and ensures easy framing — most frames will cover the border entirely. Non-standard image sizes will have larger borders, clearly visible in each product image.
