Paul Cézanne (1839-1906) built on Impressionism while fundamentally transforming it through his focus on underlying structure and formal relationships. Rather than reproducing visual appearances, he reconstructed them through colour planes, exploratory brushstrokes, and a revolutionary approach to perspective that broke with academic conventions. His work formed the essential bridge between Impressionism and Cubism.
Though critics initially dismissed his paintings, fellow artists like Pissarro and the dealer Ambroise Vollard recognised what he was achieving. Vollard's 1895 solo exhibition marked a turning point, and by the early 1900s his influence was undeniable. Matisse and Picasso are both reported to have called him "the father of us all," cementing his status as the crucial figure between nineteenth-century tradition and twentieth-century modernism.
I've gathered here a selection of what I consider his finest works, reproduced in a manner that does justice to the artist himself.

Prints include a 3-4mm white border as a presentation choice. This helps preserve as much of the original image as possible and ensures easy framing — most frames will cover the border entirely.
Each print is individually produced with care, making it ideal for your home, studio, or as a unique gift.
